Elena studied briefly at Parsons School of Design; Maine College of Art; Haystack School; Rhode Island School of Design in Continuing Studies; and the Vermont Studio Center. She has experimented with many materials, often merging media.
Her work of the preceding years has taken inspiration from the inter-dependence of living matter. Reading and thinking about the current state of the planet, she continues in this direction. Kubler has worked in the art field for forty years, the last thirty nine spent as the owner / director of The Turtle Gallery.

Many thanks to friends and fellow makers along the way for sharing process in workshops and during periodic brief periods of immersion which acted as a pause in the journey. Looking at handmade things has been one of the greatest pleasures in my life. Life brings us plenty of raw material to work with if we can allow ourselves to fully experience the process.”
